]]>The Virtual Kick Off for the Leadership and Life Skills Mentorship Program
Kick Off Webinar
The WVI Dolphin Foundation is pleased to announce an exciting kick off webinar on February 25, 2021 for the Long Island community interested in Sports for Good. Kevin Atlas, a former Division 1 Basketball Player, author, and motivational speaker will be hosting our event and speaking to overcoming challenges. His inspirational story will inspire youth to turn adversity into an advantage.
Participants will also learn more about the WVI DF Leadership & Life Skills Mentor program and the November Sports for Good fundraiser and discuss ways they can become engaged in either program.
Some lucky listeners will be the winner of a few prizes that will be awarded during the presentation as well! All participants will receive the movie, Long Shot, an excellent film to share with family, about Kevin Atlas’s life to view before the webinar.
The Leadership and Life Skills Mentorship Program
The WVI Dolphin Foundation and partners are collaborating to build a unique “Leadership and Life Skills Mentorship Program” in which we mentor youth through our volunteer Veterans, Corporate Leaders and Athletes. We will be supporting Long Island’s underserved youth and Gold-Star children through a curriculum that includes character development, youth sports, exposure to financial education, STEM, and professional development.
There are unique opportunities available to become mentors, refer mentees, or to become a sponsor of this program and the first virtual session will begin in early summer 2021.
