WVI Dolphin Foundation Success to Significance Sports for Good Dinner Honoring Dikembe Mutombo

• During this fun and inspirational event with an eight-time NBA All-Star, Dikembe encouraged attendees, legacy families, and corporate sponsors to think about their own contribution to the world: Do we help at all? Do we do enough? Shall we teach the next generation or are we spreading ourselves too thin? 

• Attendees were moved by Dikembe’s words and helped the WVI DF achieve its fundraising goals. Dikembe used this contribution to enhance his hospital in Congo, named after his mother – the Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital – that has treated close to 500,000 men, women, and children.

Following our dinner on his behalf, WVI’s philanthropic ecosystem connected Dikembe to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, from whom his charity is now receiving over six figures annually.
