NYCPF-WVIDF Justin Lenz Scholarship
Building on our successful events for veterans and first-responder causes, we partnered with the New York City Police Foundation to provide this annual scholarship for veteran officers in honor of Inspector Justin Lenz.
The New York City Police Foundation and the NYPD provide the Justin Lenz annual academic scholarship to a veteran turned NYPD officer who embodies the core values of the “Dolphin Culture” and goes above and beyond to build bridges with diverse communities.

The following year, 2023, the WVI DF Justin Lenz Scholarship Award was presented by Bob Catell, WVI DF Special Advisor, to the recipient: Sgt. Raoul, Fray, NYPD. Please click on the link watch Raul’s acceptance speech.
Military Order of Purple Heart
The WVI Dolphin Foundation partnered with the Military Order of the Purple Heart to raise $60,000 for ten scholarships.
The WVI DF will continue to partner with the MOPH to help wounded veterans afford an education.
