I would love to get involved with the WVI Dolphin Foundation and the work it does to assist and contribute to the growth of youth sports programs. I think it is very important that a special effort to be made to develop programs for girls with an emphasis on female coaches. Women coaching girls is a powerful relationship and through this mentorship, girls understand that if they see it, they can be it. Thank you again for the recognition, and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.

You can pass on wealth, and I guess that could be easy with the help of estate planners. But to pass on values to the next generation, I think that’s a much more difficult task. It is a very good mission.

I go to Bronx Aerospace High School. In my opinion the best part of the workshop was getting to see a tour of the building. What interested me the most was learning about the 36 different jobs that I could possibly work for in the engineering industry. I would love to pursue a career in sustainability that consists of helping people when they are in need which is why I applied for the FDNY to become an EMT.

Through the mentors I develop a clear understanding of who I want to be, where I want to go, and what I have to do to achieve it. The combination of some understanding of different fields, keeping in mind the leadership, and having the mentors to guide me through the program leads me to become more involved in clubs. I am more involved in terms of helping my teammates on my sports team. I became a club president.

The WVI Dolphin Foundation has help me succeed in my highschool career through skills that they have taught me like resume building, how to speak in interviews, and how to really present myself in certain scenarios and networking skills, more about entrepreneurship and i was really able to receive a letter of recommendation from the WVI Dolphin Foundation and they attach that to my MIT admission and I got admitted. I am really excited about that.

For the Mohegan Tribe, our responsibility as an elected council is to sustain our tribe and future generations. I believe our ideals and values align completely with the WVI Dolphin Foundation and I am very proud to be a sponsor.

Learning about the WVI Dolphin Foundation has provided us with renewed energy and commitment to the mission of APK Charities. We realize that there is much we can do to support our veterans, active military, and Gold Star Families in memory of our son, Capt. Andrew Pedersen- Keel.

We were honored to have been invited to be present at the WVI Dolphin Foundation dinner. We were very impressed by the people that we met and the stories that brought them to the dinner. Just to be in the same room with a Medal of Honor recipient was impressive and will be long remembered.

The Jersey City Fire Department/ Military veterans, Battalion Chief Simone and I were honored to attend the event today. It was a great, once-in-a-lifetime experience and we enjoyed being there. We are very impressed with what the organization does for our veterans.

I have to say that what touched me were the honorees tonight. I was inspired by every one of the stories and impact that all our honorees are having in sports, youth sports, and in changing the lives of our next generation – what an honorable thing to do and let’s keep up the momentum!

Congratulations on a great dinner! I was proud to be part of it and play a small role. Pat LaFontaine was fantastic. His passion and commitment was obvious and contagious. The awardees were great. This should present a great opportunity to build on for the future.

The Spirit of Youth dinner was a truly great event and one that I am quite passionate about. I am glad that my colleague brought it to our attention and that JP Morgan Private Bank was able to lend our support. I appreciate your offer to connect with other folks who share the passion to develop young men and women through sports.
