WVI Dolphin Foundation Success to Significance Sports for Good Dinner Honoring Henrik Lundqvist

November 29, 2017 at the 101 Club in Manhattan

The WVI Dolphin Foundation honored Henrik Lundqvist, a world-famous NY Ranger starting goalie, who is also the founder of the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation.

  • On the evening of Wednesday, November 29th, at 101 Club in Manhattan, the WVI Dolphin Foundation honored Henrik Lundqvist, world-famous NY Ranger starting goalie, who is also the founder of the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation.
  • Henrik was honored because he exemplified our values as a great athlete, a family man, and a leading philanthropist helping sick children. His story inspired our Legacy Family Community to pivot toward “give back” and the WVI DF contributed a major gift to his foundation, as well as connected him to other opportunities that also generated donations.
  • This Success to Significance dinner generated over twice the philanthropic results of any prior WVI event - totaling approximately $65,000 to Henrik Lundqvist’s Foundation.
  • These donations came from a combination of ticket sales and our silent auction.

$5,000 of proceeds from the dinner also went to the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which is designed to help children facing obstacles of all sorts. It was founded by Jim Dolan, owner of the Knicks, NY Rangers, Madison Square Garden, and Radio City Music Hall.
