The Success to Significance dinner series honors prominent leaders in areas such as veterans’ causes, sports, tech, and culture who have achieved great success in their fields and have transitioned from success to significance through their exemplary contribution to society.

Introduced by Rear Admiral John Mustin, the hero of USNS Comfort, the WVI Dolphin Foundation (WVI DF) honored and recognized the service to our country of Medal of Honor recipient Col. Jack Jacobs.

2018 NBA Legends attendees included Tom Hoover, Earl “the Pearl” Monroe, Sam Worthen, and Len Elmore
Another high-impact Dolphin Foundation event honored NBA legends in 2018 – Tom Hoover, Earl “the Pearl” Monroe, Sam Worthen, and Len Elmore – and the work of their foundation supporting marginalized kids through basketball and education – NBA Night Among the Legends.
- NYC Chapter of the Legends of Basketball
- WVI Dolphin Foundation hosted in partnership with Herrick Feinstein LLC and G. Pirozzi Consulting, the Night Among Legends. This event featured the above-mentioned NBA legends and guests. Funds were raised for the NBA Legends, a foundation that fosters growth and opportunity in underprivileged communities around the world. The chapter has estimated that it will receive $100,000 in funding as a result of this dinner. The Legends plan to fund The Legends Food Pantry in Red Hook, Brooklyn, the foundation’s pediatric HIV/AIDS efforts, and their work with children of the incarcerated. The group will donate money in excess of $100,000 to ongoing education and water projects in Mali and Senegal.
